Our café is using a sustainable bases for our business practices. Firstly, looking at our USPs we can see that, the café is located within the HMC college, selling charity cookies. Which is a great place to reach out to students. College typically has a high traffic environment, that constitutes high sales. We plan on implementing multiple sustainable business practices to insure we stay above our competitors. To further explain. Sustainability marketing is when a company focuses their investments within the environmental and social aspects as a marketing strategy. We are confident that this practice will work because of countless studies that show, sustainability marketing is a very effective marketing strategy.

How does sustainability marketing work?

Sustainability marketing is a way a company can build relationships with their customers, while letting them know they are important. Overall there are five sustainable marketing principles, Consumer-Oriented Marketing, Customer-Value Marketing, customer-value marketing, innovative marketing, sense-of-mission marketing, and societal marketing. What our company will be focusing on is Consumer-Oriented Marketing, Sense-of-Mission Marketing, societal marketing, and we will also participate in stakeholder engagement.

Consumer-Oriented marketing is when a company views and organizes its strategies from the consumers point of view. Which in turn satisfies the consumer’s needs. Students want premium quality, sized and tasting cookies, our café will provide this.

Sense-of-Mission Marketing Is the idea of our charity cookies because, this type of marketing is to provide a marketing strategy that defines a company’s mission in a way that makes the product more than just the product itself. In our case it’s the charity aspect of the product that is our mission. When you buy our cookies you aren’t just buying a premium baked good, you are saving a child.

Societal marketing is focused on social responsibilities and, what benefits society all together in the long term. We want to better all aspects of the college by helping not only the kids but the college itself. The consumers helping hand will reach further than charity and benefit themselves too.

What is stakeholder engagement, and how will we use it?

Stakeholder engagement is essentially when a company communicates with its stakeholders and form, maintain consumer/business relationships. Doing this a company learns what their consumers want, what they like, or dislike. They move towards their consumers desires making business more than just business.

Since we are located within a college, we will throw events with games and give the students an opportunity to not only enjoy their day but to make friends. Most importantly voice their opinion on our company.

What’s your charity cookie cafe call to action?

Our call to action will reach further than our product. It will tell the customer that they have an opportunity. An opportunity to help sick kids. And better the school itself so they and the sick kids can be happier with just a helping hand.

Our company sells charity cookies at HMC college, that change the community in whole for the better. Students will enjoy free events and voice opinions about what they would like our café to do. While also making friends and memories, with those memories they will be able to give memories to the kids in need, not only bettering their lives but possibly saving another.

This is our goal, to provide a cafe, that not only satisfies our customers cravings, but puts a smile on our customers faces. Our cookie designs and charitable events show this. We strive to be the company that betters their college experience along with helping the lives of those children who are sick and need it the most. So we ask you to come by and bring share the smiles.
